Politics and stuff
3 May 2005 00:30Quite a bit has happened that I haven't commented on, so I think I will do some catch up.
First, some updates.
Domestic Politics and Agendas
1) Wow, Howard Dean as head of the DNC. Interesting for a bunch of reasons, but mostly I want to know if he will be able to remind the DNC who they are. They do seem to have picked up a bit of a spine again, considering the fight against Bolton and a couple of judicial nominations, but they are still pretty weak overall.
2) Looks like they are finally starting to show some cracks in their united front. I'm waiting for more.
6) So, when was the last time that a Senator held a political rally in a church? The Daily Show had a great take on it. Of course, the actual issue, the use of filibuster to prevent a tyranny of the majority has been used by every major political party, specifically including most of the people arguing so vehemently against it. Hypocritical bastards.
7) Pictures, vanishing glaicers, extra heat and ocean levels
More later, when my hand hurts less.
