Last night my new razor came in, a Merkur 34C. It was much smaller than I was expecting, but ended up fitting in my hand fairly well. If I get another I will probably go for a longer handled one, just to see how it feels. After killing some 'net dragons and showering I decided it was time to try it out. I've never used a classic DE razor before, so it was an interesting experience. The DE is significantly more aggressive than any cartridge I've used, but I found that I had much more control and was left with a much smoother face. I gave myself a few nicks, mostly by trying to rush the job. With some more practice I'm sure I can fix that.

Finally, it has come to my attention that certain persons are planning a party at my house without behind my back. This sounds like a fine plan to me, though do be good enough to give us at least aweeks few hours warning. ;D
