I'm back, again
18 January 2005 23:15I'm back again, and this time I have lots to talk about. First, I'm going to talk about my personal life and such, then updates to my predictions and finish up with several discussions on politics and the world at large.
So, personal life. I have finished my new armor, at least until I can get some more paracord. I have at least 500 feet of the stuff already in the armor, and I want to put in another 75 or so. I'm amazed at how much it has taken. While doing some of the finisheing touches I got to use a new power tool, which is always fun. It is basically a giant dremel tool that takes oversized bits and can convert into a router. I only have a couple of sideways saws for it for now, but I want to get more.
WoW is way too addicting, but for the love of god why must Blizzard taunt us with flaky servers after the latest update? Also, it looks like WoW will run fine on a Mac mini, so I am going Mac.
PCB layout is fun and makes a great hobby.
I'm going to Estrella. Hopefuly Bjorn can make it as well. We all know how much fun the brothers Grim are...
My job is getting better. It is so nice to have a boss that cares about what you are doing and wants you to succeed.
So, any guesses as to how long it takes to bootstrap Gentoo on a dual Xenon 3GHz with 4GB RAM sitting on a 1TB RAID? With a bit of luck I should find out tonight.
Java MOO is fun and nearing completion but the latest test version is quite buggy. The author puts up new test version at least once a week though and he has already fixed the bugs.
