Looking back

Almost four years ago I posted a series of predictions. I'd like to take a look back and see how I did. Sometime later I'll make a post covering the next four years.
Domestic Politics and Agendas
1) They haven't really moved that far left, but they have done a lot of soul searching and found someone to rally behind. Call it half credit?
2) I could take the easy out and point to their nominee, but I'd also like to point out how much they are trying to distance themselves across the board from much of neocon policy in this election.
3) Nothing quite so dramatic, but the widespread abuse of the PATRIOT act, warrantless wiretapping and generally increased centralized control is newsworthy. Lets call it half.
4) Didn't happen.
5) The back and forth over gay rights has overall swung in their favor, so nope.
6) I think there were enough scandals in the megachurches to kill a lot of this. Yay!
7) Northwest passage fully navigable in '07, continued record ice loss. There has been a lot of talk about "going green", but not much of substance has happened yet.
8) Hasn't opened, though there is a lot of pressure to do so.
Ouch 3/8. Not doing so well. I should stay out of this arena.
Foreign Relations
1) OBL not caught, continued attacks US forces, lots of money spent on security theater.
2) Kinda, sorta. I'm not going to take half credit, though I would point out the US forces have their strongest presence in the oil regions.
3) We came awfully close to taking action against Iran, but the '06 election tied Bush's hands. Yay!
4) Nope
5) Yep
Wow, still not doing well. 2/5
Economics
1) Um, yes.
2) Yes. Did you hear that the debt clock ran out of digits this week?
3) Not really.
4) Half credit. The credit markets are crashing as I type, manufacturing managed to stage a bit of a comeback, but the causes were off.
5) Yes.
6) Close to 75% of domestic seats have declared bankruptcy and several airlines have been extended large lines of credit from the gov. I'm calling that a win.
7) Not 'till the next president.
8) Yup
9) The obvious crash is happening now, but it has been getting there slowly for a while. Depression hasn't hit yet. Still, I'm going to take full credit.
6.5/9 Not too bad.
Well, there you have it. I did OK on economics, and pretty badly elsewhere.
