Peaches and Chocolate
31 July 2004 11:10My favorite character in Steven King's _The Stand_ is a bit player who only shows up for less than a dozen pages. I don't remember his name, only that he was the "Happy Pagan".
The Happy Pagan is painting a series of landscapes while all around him there is the big Earth Moving Battle between Good and Evil. His paintings aren't very good, but he is happy with them, explaining that they are the best landscapes being painted right now.
I bring this up because I am in the process of painting a dining table. It isn't going to be a great table worthy of kings and diplomats. It has flaws, it is going to take me three tries to get the base for the top done, my hand shook a bit while doing the highlight, really the list goes on and one. It is, however, the best crackle finish peach top with chocolate apron and legs with peach highlights dining table being hand painted in a garage right now, and I am happy with it.
