It may snow. The upside is that I would get to leave work early, the downside is that may make it difficult to get to Citadel 12th night.
Yesterday I managed to lock my keys in my truck while warming it up. I have never done this before, in the near decade I have been driving. So of course the one time I do this it is in just about the worst circumstances possible. I am at work, it is 3:15AM, I'm on a military base so I can't get a locksmith out, the engine is running and I am low on gas. Only way it could have been worse is if there was a disaster I was trying to run away from or a baby locked inside. I had to break off the latch from the rear quarter window to get inside. I drove up to Albuquerque today to replace it, which meant I didn't get the time to fix the war boards for 12th night. Grr...
This week I will be continuing to help Theresa move into her new classroom. It is amazing how much stuff she has in there, and how much all of it weighs. But I get my own key to the room and a forge out of it.
There is a cartoon going around the office now. It shows a couple in a car looking very afraid as pair of people run our of a telescope dome labeled "Asteroid Tracking Station". It was prompted by some excitement earlier this week. A decent sized asteroid, now named 2004/AS1, was found that had an initially projected trajectory that showed an impact with Earth about 20 hours after it was discovered. Follow up observations show that it won't hit us this time around, we will just have a _really_ close call on February 15th. Excitement where I work is rarely a good thing.
