The other trail

Since this was a completely wasted trip work-wise, I'm glad I was able to do some other things.
I hit the other trail this morning before returning the bike. It was a much more reasonable trail for me, though there was still some tight, rocky single-track. Not crashes this time though. It was a very pleasant ride with lots of shade. I startled a few white tails, and then snuck up close to a few. My first thought was, "You know, if I had a bow this would be good eatin' for a while."
I've learned a few things from these few rides. First, full suspension definitely has its place, and I have now seen it. I don't think I'm really going to get into doing those sorts of trails though. Disc brakes really are much stronger than cantis, but I don't think I like them. Finally, I want a road bike and to put a suspension fork on my old hard tail. Of course, that will need to wait, but it doesn't stop me from looking, right?
