I need to have a raving fanboy moment, but I'll cut it so you can ignore.

Wow, just wow. I am amazed at Fred. Not only has his art evolved into something beautiful and delicate, but the depth of his story continually amazes me. The relationships between his characters is nuanced and full, and even those that seem to be flat at first are later revealed to be complex and interesting. He weaves the truth of emotions and relationships together with the realities of our different planes of existence into a whole that is much more than the sum of its parts. And he does it in a webcomic, one page at a time, using art and expression to convey what words cannot, and still using words great effect.

Thefour five part short story beginning here is very typical of Randal's more serious tone, in that he encourages you to look at the world differently. Yes, even the silly bit at the end. I love how he is able to go off on such great, pointed, flights of fancy, yet still make jokes about math, computers and science.
