Woot! I have finally found some documentation on Norse lamellar armor from both the Birka and the Gotland digs, so I will be making some for my next upgrade to my kit. The individual lamellae are rather long and thin, about 1.25" by 4" with 8 holes. I'm going to be making them out of wax hardened leather, and will wear a thin gambesson underneath. It should both look and protect better while not adding much weight or restricting too much movement.
I did stuff today, none of it was very interesting. I did see both James and Amanda, which was nifty. I talked her into going to Estrella. wee!
