Ok, I haven't put up a real post in a while. I might soon, but first I need to rant about RedHat.

Why can't RHELAS deal with a partition size >1TB? Seriously, what the fuck? It's called Enterprise Linux Advanced Server, you would think it could handle, oh, say, enterprise class RAIDs! Ahhh!!!

I'm stuck using fucking RHELAS 'cause the people that wrote 90% of the code I'm using hard coded so much stupid filesystem shit that I can't fucking make clean on a non RH system. Fuckers.

*EDIT*
BTW, does anyone know a workaround for the 1TB issue?

*EDIT 2*
So far, the workaround I have come up with is split the 1.6TB into a pair of .8TB partitions to put into an LVM, then hope that after the install the tools will be less broken so I can put a filesystem on it and mount it.

*EDIT 3*
Yup, that works. So I now have a 1.6TB HW RAID that is split into two partitions and then put back together using LVM. And now I get to find out which of the redhat-configure-* tools actually work and which ones are broken. So far -network crashes when you try to save changes, -samba sorta works but is really limited and -services works just fine. Oh, and the networking config that I put in during install got changed so that my gateway was improperly set.

My god is RH's /etc ugly.

Is there anything RedHat does right?
