Feeling superficial.

For some reason OS X has 5 seconds as a standard background change interval. I can think of several cool things to do with that. Has anyone done any that you know of?

Speaking of backgrounds, I've had the same set on random rotation for years now. I need some new ones. Any suggestions other than Digital Blasphemy?

I recently discovered that I happen to have a copy of both Illustrator and Photoshop, so I thought I could use a new icon or two.
